The newly renovated Hampton RSL is a medium-sized, community-minded, non-gaming venue located close to the beach in Hampton, with a 100+ seat full service bistro and separate bar/live music area.
The venue has multiple sporting options available which include a recently refurbished outdoor lawn bowling rink (with night lighting to be completed in early 2021), a pickle ball court, snooker room with four full-sized tables and even a boat on the bay for angling.
We have emerged from the COVID-19 crisis and look forward to growing and meeting the needs of our members and diverse community.

About our photo
The boy featured above is Angus Swinnerton – grandson of Peter Lanigan, Hampton RSL President. He is wearing Peter’s Army Jacket. Peter writes:
“I was conscripted for 2 years National Service in the Australian Army in the July intake of 1968.Initial basic training at Puckapunyal was followed by further training at the School of Military Engineering at Casula NSW then a posting to the Royal Australian Engineers field squadron at Enoggera barracks Queensland . During 1969 a 6 month posting to the RAE works section in Port Moresby and Wewak PNG followed and finally, a posting to Victoria barracks in Melbourne to finish the 2 years.
My four children have always had some interest in my army service and more widely in Anzac and Remembrance Day events.
Of my 5 grandchildren, my two grandsons William and Angus in particular, have an interest in the annual Anzac commemorative events.”
